How To: Let’s use the 48 megapixel function in the camera app!

Welcome back to my blog!

I know, I haven’t made an entry since months but now I really want to be more active on my website!

Today, I want to explain how to use the 48 megapixel function in the camera app of an iPhone 14 Pro. I know, many guys of you don’t even own an iPhone or iPhone 14 Pro (Max) but for the few of you: Let’s talk about some “techie stuff”.

Normally, the 48 megapixels aren’t activated. Apple uses the function “pixel-binning” to quarter 48 megapixels into 12 megapixels.

Enough, let’s do it! At first you have to go into your settings and go to “Camera” –> “Formats” (photo 1)

Nice! After that you need to turn on “Apple ProRAW” and click on “ProRAW-Resolution”.

Just tap on “48 megapixels” instead of twelve megapixels.

Let’s go to the last step!

In your camera app you just need to click on “RAW” to turn on the function. And et voila! You’re ready to go!

I hope my small tutorial helped you (a lot) and see you in my next entry!
